What is a box league? - The BLTS concept is a time flexible, venue flexible, round robin singles competition that has no constraints on players having to be available for a set time or day to play their matches, like in a regular tournament. The professional grading system behind the competition is essential to making all the matches challenging and competitive. To ensure this we adjust player skills levels every season, which is 4 times per year.

Why was BLTS formed? - As a professional tennis coach in Hong Kong, I hear many comments, such as "I want to play tougher matches against better players so that I can improve, rather than winning easily", or "I'm tired of playing the same people every time". The most frequent frustrations are often time related such as "I don't want the hassle and commitment of being on a team" and "my schedule always gets in the way of my tennis". These, along with the observation that "why is Hong Kong always doubles leagues" has inspired the creation of BLTS - competitive singles matches, at a time and venue that is convenient to you.
