Frequently Asked Questions
Simply how does it work - Q. Cool idea but how does it work? A.
You enter
You are graded into a box of 5 or 6 similar standard players
You are sent their emails and mobiles numbers
You book a court at your preferred venue (or they do and invite you)
You email all the opponents and see who replies that they can make the time
You play them and report the score via email
You book another court and then email the remaining opponents. And so on.
You have finished your required matches and are then ranked in the box. For the next season you will go up, stay, or go down depending on that ranking.
Match times - Q. What are the best times to play? A. Well for adults it's easy to get courts anywhere at 7, 8am & noon, 1, 2pm, and even some places aren't too bad at 9-11am. Juniors is a little more difficult however lots of players do have home courts, and maybe a weekend time is possible at clubs. Public courts are more difficult however sometimes your coach will have a spare court. Ask them.
Match length - Q. Why is it only best of 11 games? A. Due to court shortages the match needs to complete within an hour booking, however if you have more time just keep playing for practice. The score must be reported on the first 11 games.
How many matches - Q. How many matches do I play? A. 4-5 matches. You have 4-5 opponents in your box so you need to play them all.
Balls - Q. Who provides the balls? A. Wilson are providing every player with one can.
