What people have to say about the BLTS

Hi Mark,

Yes, terrific league, loved it!
Please enroll Nicole for the next season.

A few quick comments from Nicole and myself:
As this was the first junior league that I have played, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised how fun it was! Usually, I play with the same kids at the clubs or in regular group lessons, but the Box League really opened up the opportunities for me to meet and play with other tennis enthusiasts. I can’t wait for next season to start and challenge myself with different styles of players. Each time I play, I feel that I learn something new, observations that would help me improve my game as I grow. With only a limited number of local tournaments in Hong Kong, Box League is certainly the answer to providing me access to gain experience. Nicole Kwok (Junior 10 yrs)”

As for my comments as a parent: I loved it also, it filled up Nicole’s spare time perfectly since the match times were flexible. Getting out and playing more tennis is healthy and it keeps her away from too much Cartoon Network! Well done Box League!
Have an excellent summer!
Regards,
Joyce

Hi Mark,
Both boys gained some great match play experience through the box league. It was a wonderful venue that allowed them to play other juniors in a competitive but relaxed atmosphere. All of the kids showed terrific attitude, sportsmanship, and court etiquette-I was very impressed. As my boys were not as experienced as some of the others, it was a perfect opportunity for them to practice their tennis, experience some match play, and learn about themselves. Thank you for organizing this and we look forward to participating again next season!
See you in the fall,
Suanne

Hi Mark, Thanks for organising the match last night and the results were 7 - 4 in my favour. It was great to meet Margaret also and have found a new friend in Hong Kong. Regards, Sasha Southwell

Guys, This looks tailor made for just about all of us… the brainchild of Kratzy. James Fairweather

Mark, Excellent website and set-up! BLTS is fun, friendly tennis without the hassles of normal tournament play. No more all-day events waiting for matches to finish and then playing some unchallenging match that ends up being a waste of time. With BLTS I just book the court and opponent, play a great match, get some good exercise, and go on home. Less than 2 hours of my time taken! Cheers and well done. Tony Shale

Dear Mark,
I would like to give you my opinion about the Box League after having played the first season:
1. The BOX LEAGUE gives me the opportunity to play with a different player every time I play. This is an important aspect to improve my game because it is a new type of game every time.
2. To play singles, which is not so common in Hong Kong!, and I love singles! There are only a few singles tournaments in HK and the BLTS is a great chance to play more singles.
3. To meet new players that we would never have met without the BLTS. After a match, we can decide to play more often with the same player. Thanks to the BLTS, we know the tel. number and emails of many players of the same level.
4. To play competitive matches. There is a goal. It's not only a friendly match since there is a competitive aspect. We can move up or down depending on our results. I
like it !!
5. To play with adults since I am a teenager. I don't have many opportunities to play with adults outside the BLTS.
6. To start a new season several times in the sameyear, and have a new goal again!
7. To keep playing matches and staying in the same group level even if we lose matches. In a tournament, you're OUT if you lose!
8. To meet more and more players the more we play and the bigger the BLTS is!!!
9. My mother and I are sometimes having a hard time to find available partners. The more players there are in the BLTS, the more chance we have to find partners more
easily.
I will maybe have more ideas in the future, and I will let you know about them.
